It's About Connections...
Your food has quite a story by the time it reaches you. Who grew it? Where and how was it grown? Who picked it? How was it processed and transported? How were you able to access fresh, healthy food and where? What will happen with the left over food waste?
There are many aspects of the food system and they are all interconnected. How we are able to answer the above questions at a local level greatly impacts our economy, environment, public health, levels of hunger, emergency preparedness, community development, and much more.
The goal of Tahoma Food Policy Coalition is to help make these connections to "grow a just, healthy, and sustainable food system." We all eat, so we all have a role!
